Volunteer Spotlight: Barry Hallums
Mr. Barry consistently shows up on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and often Thursdays to ensure our outreach department runs smoothly. His impact has been felt deeply, especially among veterans in the Greenville Upstate community, as well as by everyone he serves alongside, including myself. He even looks out for me personally, encouraging me to get the rest I need to continue the work of the Kingdom.He is not just a volunteer, but a powerful man of God who brings his military discipline, joy, and compassion into outreach. He has a heart of gold, a deep care for the broken, and a faithful, consistent spirit in serving. He doesn’t seek recognition, but I believe it is important to acknowledge the tremendous impact he has made on Love Story Church and the Greenville Upstate community.
Volunteer Spotlight: Nellie Martins
Despite the challenges she has encountered, Nellie Martins has remained steadfast in her commitment to serve as the facilitator of her Love Story Group, BEcoming. Her faithfulness and obedience have been evident in the way she leads with grace and consistency. Week after week, her group continues to flourish not only in attendance but in spiritual growth as Nellie actively and passionately recruits new members. Her dedication has created a welcoming and nurturing environment where participants feel inspired and empowered to grow in their journey.
